The history of Egnazia goes through many centuries, starting from the Bronze Age (15th century BC), continuing during the Messapic and Roman dominations, till the Late Roman period, when the city was abandoned. With our Tour of the archaeological park of Egnazia, you will visit the Western necropolis, right away outside the Ellenistic and Roman city walls; the districts of the city, with their public building, houses and workshops, and the acropolis, in which the whole city history, from the Bronze Age to the Medieval period, are preserved. You cannot miss also the visit to the Archaeological Museum “Giuseppe Andrassi”, which hosts many valuable artefacts.
