Monte Gada is a peak situated between the Tyrrhenian sea and the Pollino massif. We set out on the trekking route in the quiet town of Boccalupo to reach the Monte Gada lodge. From here you will go up to the summit of Monte Gada, at 1264 m altitude, and walk along a small limestone ridge, covered in small clumps of beech and maple trees. The peak provides a gorgeous viewpoint over the entire Pollino massif, the Valley of Mercure and the Tyrrhenian coast of the Gulf of Policastro. Then we will descend the mountain, reaching the characteristic Molarrieto plateau, and return to Boccalupo. At the end of our tour you will have an opportunity to visit the ‘Grotta del Romito’, a natural limestone cave.
