The Tibetan bridges of the small town Sasso di Castalda join the banks of "Fosso Arenazzo", which are located right under the charming old town. Crossing the historical centre, with its winding narrow streets and traditional stone houses, the visitor arrives at the departure point of the first bridge – named "Ponte Petracca". This bridge is 95 meters long, reaching 30 meters of height. After the first crossing, the visitor reaches a hill slope characterized by geological formations. Following the path along the bank of Fosso, leaving behind the votive chapel of Madonna delle Grazie, the visitor arrives at the beginning of the impressive Ponte alla Luna (The Bridge to the Moon) in 10 minutes. Crossing the unique span of 300 meters suspended at 102 meters above the stream below, literally walking in the air, the visitor reaches the ruins of the castle that dominates the village from its picturesque panoramic point. The arrival point is a terrace overlooking the bridge, a glass sky-walk, which offers the visitor the opportunity to catch his breath while realizing how much path he undertook. Near to the ancient ruins of the Medieval Fortress there is a viewpoint with rotating binoculars, that will allow the visitor to admire the mountain landscape in all its beauty. Going down to a comfortable stone stairway, the visitor returns to the historic centre and visits the unique church of "San Nicola", which has recently been restored.
