The tour will start from the old town of Montalbano Jonico, where the guide will tell you the town’s history. Then, you will reach the old mule track called “Appiett’ u Castiedd”, which linked Montalbano to Metaponto. Following the path you will get to another mule track, “Appiett’ u Mulin”, which was used by the peasants for reaching the Angri Valley. All along the tour, you will admire the Calanchi of Montalbano (badlands), rich in marine fossils and thanks to the guide, you will know more about such an interesting geological environment.
