Grumentum was founded by Romans in 3rd century BC, and nowadays its ruins give us an idea of the city’s fascinating past. Noteworthy are the forum, the amphitheatre, the theatre, the baths, the temples and a patrician mansion with its beautiful mosaic floors. Eventually, you will visit the museum which hosts ancient remains coming from the Agri Valley.
