Tricarico is a little town with an incredible history, as testified by its city wall, the towers and the two quarters called “Rabata” and “Saracena”. Formerly inhabited by the Saracens, the town was then occupied by the Normas, who transformed it in an autonomous county; for this reason, Triacarico is considered as an Arab-Norman town. With our Tour you will visit the Norman Tower and Castle, the Church of St. Chiara –which hosts inside amazing artworks, as the precious cross and the frescos by Pietro Antonio Ferro –, and the Episcopal Palace with its museum, which will allow you to know more about the history of the diocese. The tour will end with a visit to the Cathedral and the old quarters “Rabata” and “Saracena”.
