The winemaking tradition is passed down from generation to generation in the Giuratrabocchetti family. For this reason Gerardo and Marcella Giuratrabocchetti founded the Cantina del Notaio (The Notary's Winery), a place where tradition, innovation and history are blended together in order to preserve one of the most important vines in Southern Italy: the Aglianico del Vulture, from which a unique wine is made. Cantine del Notaio is pleased to welcome new Italian and foreign friends and guests to taste wines, visit the ancient Franciscan volcanic tuff caves that radiate around the Facìle, and tell you the stories about local traditions and viticulture. Guided tour of the volcanic tuff caves, dating back to the 1600s, with tasting of 3 wine glasses and platter of traditional Lucanian cold cuts and cheeses.
